Energetic, efficient, and passionate are some of the most commonly used words to describe Laurie Morrison. A native of North Augusta, Laurie has one of those personalities that would make you say she has never met a stranger. With her career at WJBF stretching over a decade and a half, she is a senior account executive with the experience and knowledge to lean on.
A personal strength of Laurie’s is her creativity. She has the ability to see things in a way that others do not. Paying close attention to the smallest of details, and analyzing the “why” in everything gives her inspiration for many of her concepts. This is an area where she takes great pride in assisting her teammates and clients.
Laurie met her husband, Matt in the late 90’s at Augusta State University while pursuing their degrees in Public Relations and Advertising. They married in 2000 and now have two children together; a daughter, Amanda and son, Dylan. Both Laurie and her husband are active members at Fairview Presbyterian Church. He serves as a deacon and drummer in morning praise band and she is on the Connection Committee. Laurie contributes all her success in life to God and is grounded by her faith.
Although Laurie has taken a leadership role as PTO President in her children’s school, she and Matt tackle many things as a couple. Depending on the season you can find the Morrison family on the ball field educating area youth in athletic and life skills alike.
If Laurie had her way, she would spend most of her downtime on any South Carolina beach with a great book. When the family gets tired of relaxing, they can be found at Carowinds, the Georgia Aquarium, Stone Mountain or on the jumbotron at a Braves game. But, when it’s put to a family vote, they all agree hands down that Disney World is the greatest place on earth.
